Digital Bodyguard Membership Agreement
Version v1.0-2026-08 · Ocala Cyber, Marion County, Florida

This Membership Agreement covers the Digital Bodyguard membership. It sits under, and does not replace, the Ocala Cyber Service Agreement and the policies listed in Section 11. Where this Agreement and the Service Agreement say different things about Digital Bodyguard, this Agreement governs. By submitting this form you are agreeing to these terms and authorising the recurring charge described in Section 8.

1. Who this is between

This Agreement is between Ocala Cyber ("we", "us") and the person named on this form ("you", "the member"). Membership is personal to you and the household address you give us. It is not transferable to another household or to a business.

2. What Digital Bodyguard is

Digital Bodyguard is an advisory membership. You get a local cyber analyst to ask, and a set of security reviews to keep you in good shape. It is guidance, review and hands-on help on your own devices and accounts, with you present or with your written authorisation.

It is not a 24/7 emergency line, not a managed IT service, and not a guarantee that nothing will go wrong.

3. On-demand support

You may send us anything that looks suspicious and ask what to do. That includes suspicious emails, text messages, screenshots, pop-up warnings, anti-virus alerts, scam phone calls, websites you are unsure about, requests to send money, privacy questions, and anyone claiming to be a company you deal with.

Send email submissions to phishing@ocalacyber.com. You may also call or text the number on our website. We review what you choose to send us. We do not access your mailbox, accounts or devices to perform this review.

4. Protective reviews

Membership includes a protective security review at the start of your membership and again each year, and more often if you ask and we agree it is warranted:

  • a device security review,
  • an email lockdown check on the account that can reset your other accounts,
  • a review of what is publicly visible about you online, and
  • setting up two-step login on the accounts that matter.

These reviews are a check-and-tune pass, at setup and advisory depth. A full hands-on rebuild is a separate service (Set Up My Security).

5. Monitored computers (only if you enrol a computer)

If you choose to enrol a Windows or Mac desktop or laptop, we install monitoring software on that computer. Where a computer is enrolled, we can see and act on:

  • device health signals (a failing drive, a disk that is filling up, a computer that has stopped checking in),
  • operating-system and everyday application updates, which we can apply for you,
  • your anti-virus status, including alerts when it detects something,
  • protection being switched off or a new administrator account appearing, and
  • a help button in your taskbar for reaching us.

Remote sessions require your consent each time. We will not connect to an enrolled computer without you accepting the session on screen.

Monitoring covers enrolled Windows and Mac desktops and laptops only. It does not cover phones or tablets. Monitoring is not a guarantee that a problem will be caught, and it is not a 24/7 staffed watch. You may ask us to remove the monitoring software at any time, and we remove it when your membership ends.

6. Incident response included with membership

If something does go wrong, membership includes:

  • Remote incident response, at no charge, once per calendar month. This covers recovering a hacked account or a compromised device, worked remotely.
  • One on-site visit each membership year at no charge, for incident response or any other issue covered by this membership. Further on-site visits are $100 each.
  • Scam response guidance and a written action plan, included at no extra charge.

Non-member pricing for the same work is published on our website and in the current rate card. Included incident response is subject to the fair-use terms in Section 7 and the scope limits in Section 9.

7. Fair use and response expectations

Digital Bodyguard is intended for roughly 5 to 10 submissions per month. If your use significantly and consistently exceeds that, we will reach out for a friendly conversation about it before making any change to your service or billing. Service is never silently cut off for exceeding fair use.

We make reasonable efforts to respond to a submission within one to two business days. This is an advisory-tier service. It is not a guaranteed response time, not an emergency service, and not available 24/7. If a matter is urgent, call us.

8. Price, billing and cancellation

Membership is $25 per month or $250 per year. Payment is by recurring automatic charge through Zoho Payments, using the card you provide at checkout. A reminder email is sent before each renewal charge.

We may offer a promotional rate at in-person events such as community markets and expos. Promotional pricing applies only to the event and period announced at the time and does not change the standard published rate for renewals or for enrolments outside that offer, unless we state otherwise in writing.

You may cancel at any time, with no cancellation charge, by telling us in writing at contact@ocalacyber.com. Cancellation stops the next renewal. We do not pro-rate the current period. Included benefits, including monitoring, end when the membership ends.

9. What is out of scope

We secure systems and advise. We do not:

  • recover money that has been sent (gift cards, wire transfers and crypto are usually gone),
  • give legal advice or represent you,
  • carry out identity-theft recovery on your behalf,
  • rebuild computers (we refer that out),
  • provide managed IT, help-desk or 24/7 emergency coverage, or
  • handle protected health information.

Two-step login greatly reduces the risk of an account break-in, but no security measure guarantees safety.

10. Your responsibilities

You agree to give us accurate contact details, to keep them current, to be present or to give us written authorisation for work on your devices and accounts, and to keep your own copies of anything important before we make changes.

11. Privacy, data handling and policies incorporated

The following apply to this membership and are incorporated by reference. They are published on our website and available on request: the Ocala Cyber Service Agreement (master terms), the Privacy Policy, the AI Data Handling Policy, and the Data Retention and Destruction Policy. Content you forward to us is reviewed and retained in accordance with those policies.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will publish the updated version and tell current members before the change applies to them. Continuing your membership after that notice means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute is to be brought in Marion County, Florida.
